2019 at Kings of Chelsea – That’s a Wrap!
Is it just us or has this year flown by? There’s been plenty of ups and downs and we’ve made a lot of wonderful memories, but where has the time gone? Regardless, we’re really looking forward to another year of beautiful design and working with fantastic people. Here’s our breakdown of our favourite bits…
Chelsea in Bloom
At the start of the year we got involved with the famous Chelsea in Bloom event, and asked the amazing Pinstripes and Peonies to create an unforgettable flower display for us. The theme was under the sea and environmentalism, so we opted for a mermaid themed display, complete with sustainable plants and flowers. It was such a pleasure to be involved with the event, and so inspiring to see what everyone else had produced for it.
In 2019 we began working with the world renowned brand Swarovski Lighting, and became an official UK partner. It is an honour to be working with such an iconic company, and it is so exciting to be selling these stunning original pieces. In 2019 we worked with one of London’s most hotly tipped new artists, Hormazd Narielwalla. ‘Dancing Blocks’ was created especially for Kings of Chelsea and we are so in awe of it, it really does look like it belongs in our showroom. The work is inspired by the medium of dance and it’s influence on 20th century artists such as Picasso and Bacon. You can read our full interview with the artist here.
Ladies Night Event
In September we held an event curated especially for women, in partnership with luxury handbag creator Daniela De Montby. This included a nail bar and tarot card reading as well as exclusive discounts on our accessories. The night was a huge success, with delicious food and drink and wonderful company! Stay tuned for similar events to be held in the future…
Kings Road Curve Christmas Party
We had an absolutely unforgettable time with everyone who came to our event, in partnership with the Kings Road Curve collective. It was fantastic to have The Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea – Cllr Will Pascal in attendance, as well as all of the other shops and companies that took part. Here’s to another memorable year!
